Wiring Help!!

alright so i got a pair of rockford punch hx2's which are dual 4 ohms each. according to this website, i can wire them up to 1 ohm or 4 ohms
http://www.cardomain.com/shop/woofer..._dvc&x=89?y=13

the thing is my amp, a rockford power 1000bd is 2 ohm stable, so is there another way i can wire my subs to become 2 ohm stable or i can just wire it 1 ohm? thanks

Your going to have to run your amp at 4 ohms, which means your subs will see ~500 watts RMS to the pair.

Or run just one of your subs at 2 ohms and give it 1k watts. Or buy a new amp, or new subs.

I've seen people load those amps down to 1 Ohm before and it worked okay. The challenge you may run into is the amp shutting down for thermal protection if you're running it too hard. I'd say give it a try, use a full-spec 4AWG B+ & Gnd wire and don't crank the input gains. Give the amp some room to breath too. Cramming it under the seat isn't really recommended for that amp.

right now wouldnt really think of risking it since the subs are brand new so i would much rather sell it and get something back than to have it blow for nothing. so right now looking for a single 12 or 2 12s that would run 1000x1 or 500x2 at 2ohms. you guys got any reccomedations?

that depends on the subs rms ratings. if they are closer to 500 then go with 2 but if they are rated for 1000 rms then go with just 1 because runngin them at the recommended level is usually a good idea.

Just wire them to 4 ohms, you will be more than pleased.

does anyone have a wiring diagram on how to hook up a remote turn on lead wire from the amp to the back of a stock head unit.
