Well done! Whered you buy it, a local custom shop? How straight are the lines of the logo up close? Ill be experimenting with some myself shortly in a trunk Ill be doing for a friend. Itll probably be a BMW logo, which Im leary of doing because Im so **** and I dont have a router to get a perfect circle...so I started looking at custom laser cutting places online where I could just send em a pic, but if you have any insight thatd be great.

the lines are absolutely perfect the key to doing this is patience and a GOOD fine blade. And also some sand paper to remove any sharp edges and make a flat surface, plus a air buffer with polish to make the edges nice and shiny. What i did was i blew up the JL logo and etched it onto the glass with a xacto knife drilled holes for the jig and cut away.

take your time, its not impossible. Make sure you tape up the bottom of the jig so you dont scratch the glass

the last .5 % has to do with rear speakers, the box sits up way to high so i need to make a spacer for the rear speaks, hoping it doesnt interfere with the stock grill otherwise i may have to fiberglass a rear deck :O

****ing amazing... it sounds better then it looks. I need to tune it a bit more. But for a ported box man this thing hits pretty tight and is pretty damn accurate. Originally i was gonna do 3 sealed but i decided to tried 2 ported and wow, im not even going to bother with the 3rd.

I'd definetely like a setup similar to this, very clean and basic. About how much total did it cost?

Question for Dcman

I saw that your wire spring holder for your trunk was hanging and I was wondering if you fabricated some kind of shock or something to hold the trunk up? Look for any suggestions b/c I am thinking of removing the trunk spings for more install flexibility. Pics would help too.
thanks
Oliver

nice system but 0 chance you are in the 150's..unless you put the mic in the trunk.

150 is pretty freakin loud. i say you're in the low 140s (which is still pretty good IMO).

its more likely to be in the 140s , but ive been in a car that hit 153 db lol my friends pathfinder hit 153.3 with 2 15 solobarics ported. But thats an open cab type deal. But i highly doubt mine is any where near his.

How much does it rattle your trunk? Looks very good though, I agree on the simple but effective style! I may have missed it but how many watts are you pushing?

Oh yeah, why do you need rear speakers? In my car the rears are just "subs".
