Would MB Quart 6.5" fit in the 4th gen doors?

Does maxima door take 6 3/4 or 6 1/2? I just don't want to get speakers that are too small for the front doors. I'm looking at DSD216.

Help us help you...

DSD216 are good speakers but your car deserves better.
What is your goal in your audio system. Tell us what you have right now, what you're trying to achieve and how much you have to spend. Then we'll figure out the best strategy.

Re: Help us help you...

I'm getting a custom enclosure done next week. It will be one Kicker L7 8" firing into the hatch hole with plexiglass back. A Phoneix Gold XS6600 in a amp rack below it. I'm trying to plan out the rest of my system. I'm going for small system due to lack of money and I don't want to much added weight.

For front speakers, I don't want to spend more than $200. Here are some of the ones I have been looking at. RF Fanatic X, JL VR and MB DSD216.

i would seriously take a look at cdt cl series and a/d/s 2 series coaxial speakers. Also, focal low end speakers. Those 3 are some of the best sounding for the money. Much better than the brands you mentioned

Where's the best place to get the CDT speakers? Only place I have seen them is on sounddomin. Sounddomin is little more pricy than other internet sites I have seen.

That is just about the only place I will consider buying from. The owner is very knowlagable, very helpful, and has great prices. CDT's are the ones I would recommend as well, but he carries Focals and some ADS products as well.....

6.5s will fit easier than 6.75s. I strongly agree with the other guys for all the effort that you have put into your car, and all the effort that it takes to install front speakers properly I wouldn't skimp out. Just add the sub(s) for now and get out and listen to different speakers to see what you like best. Personally I love my a/d/s, but different tastes call for different flavors.

If you go 1/2 way you'll prolly regret it.

4th gen cars have 6.75" speakers in the door, not 6.5. So the 6.75" fit easier. 6.5" sometimes need a spacer ring to make them fit.
