bridging..?

can you take the 2 back speaker wires and wire them together and then to a speaker.. my cd player puts out 45 watts x 4 so could you 'bridge' ( <-- i think thats what its called? ) the two lines so you essentially would have 90 watts going to the speaker?

No. Headunits cannot handle 2 ohm loads and it will burn it out. The 45 watts it puts out is Max power, not RMS anyway, so even if you could, you would only be betting about 30 watts or so RMS bridged.

so is there anyway i can get more power to a speaker, other than the 45 watts?

Most decks put out an average of 8-10 watts rms. If your speakers can handle it get a seperate amp
