Basically I'm looking for an entry level 3-way front setup, like the Eclipse SC8365, with a 2-channel amp, and a entry-level Nak H/U. My budget is rougly $1000

A PM would have been easier, no?

Maybe you wanna fill me in on exactly what your looking for? While it might be possible with the criteria listed above, a lil more info would be helpful.

Really is it now? I have them readily at my disposal at Any given time. Your correct I dont carry them anymore, nor have intentions of bringing them back. But make no mistake, I speak my mind and dont try to use 'dealerspeak' for anything.

Nooo, I want to hear from the kneejerkers that assume because a company was purchased by another that magically the quality dropped. If it did, it did, but I'd like to see some proof instead of someone trying to play snob.

In other words, the accusation was made, so the burden of proof is on the accuser.

Weird..MBQ doesnt seem to doing too bad these days...even though owned now by Maxxsonics.

Here they are tested by the same publication as is Rainbow in Germany, and that Q set scored up there with Platinums which cost twice as more. Set is handmade in Germany as well.

Do i like the MBQ forward and bright sound? No. But i wont say that they are lacking in quality, or that they are using lesser grade components. I dont really see any proof in that pudding.

Actually, I'm a former dealer with over a decade in the biz. So TBH, the reason why I questioned it is because I tire quickly of dealers playing snob with lines

A: They can't get or
B: They lost

I don't know your story, so there's no comment there, other than to say that lines typically don't automatically do 180 degree turns in quality, simply because their parent company changes. I did see it when Orion got shipped overseas, and they had a hard time copying the build quality people were used to, but I also see that as the exception rather than the rule. It makes no sense for a company to purchase a line and then neuter it. Information spreads too quickly for that to slide through nowadays. I see with the lines you carry and recommend your standards are high, but then you sell through this site as well, so I can't assume full objectivity on your part. That's fine--and expected frankly.

I saw no change in MBQ's quality, so tell me again what I know or don't know? If you have facts, please disclose! I've been out of the loop for about a year now!

I have no comments towards MBQ, from what I know..they havent changed. Within the exception of being 'classified' as a lower-mid line with RF parenting them. Product..all the same.

While I stated I cannot disolve certain information, take a look into Diamond. At the time it wasnt a parent company change, just an executive decision from Rikki and his holders. Look back a few years when their amps were Esoteric and the HEX line was Eton/LPG. Look at them now..

Theres many companies out there that took shortcuts, cut cost, however you wanna label it. Whether it was during an owner change or not.

Yes I do sell a few items here. But with backing from the manufacturer Or to someone that I 'personally' know from here for years. If certain individuals dont have a local dealer, then they are fair game (with consent). I assure you I dont break rules, bend a bit..on occassion, but break..no sir.

It's good for .Orgers to hear you say that, since there's clearly some misinformation coming from other dealers.

Hmm, food for thought.

Goes without saying.

No, I didn't really insinuate that. I just wanted make sure that you were being as objective as people here expect you to be, given your respected status.

And trust me, I'd come to you (deal or not) for advice moving forward, given my detachment from the industry of late.
