mpyre audio question

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the components http://www.mpyreaudio.com/652c0.htm I know component preferences are different to everyone but i wanted to see if anyone has heard them. Theres an authorized dealer about an hour from where i live and i was wondering if i should take a trip. Thanks a lot -Rick

I bet hardly anyone on here knows of them, let alone heard them in person. However, if the price is right take a trip over to the dealer. They are made by Adire which can make quality components and subwoofers.

Yea i talked to the owner and he said 250 no lower which i think is a good price. The guy i talked to said nothing sub 5-6 hundred can touch the mids so i really want to go audition them. I guess ill be the guinea pig. And they are based off of the extremis, which makes me really want to hear them....i guess ill post my experience in a few hours.

they do have an insane amount of possible xmax...for that price you could do alot worse. Just remember, to get that 14mm of xmax you need some clean power to it, and deaden the heck out of those doors.

Not fond of the sound of CF cones, although from what I understand the output is quite abundant.

He has quite a bold statement there, but I do expect that from a retailer.

No specs available on their site, which is quite dissapointing and can't really comment further..

Wait. Can't Ed be corrected with Cialis?

Yea i checked them out and for the price they were pretty good. Definitely Some of the best midbass response that i have heard from such a cheap driver. And they dropped pretty low while sounding good. On a side note i ended up picking up some planet audio 3 ways to play with. Got them for 280 with one year to take them back and upgrade with a credit of 75% of what i spent. Put them in and all i can say is that i'm totally impressed. So for a couple months these will have to do until i get my taxes back to buy my elates.
