2001 Infiniti I30 door speaker size?

Getting ready to replace my stock speakers. What size are the stock speakers front and rear for the I30? I'm sure this is been posted before, but searched everywhere and couldn't find the info on these. Please help!

Not to argue, but I thought the BOSE rears were 5 3/4" or something. Heard there was just an adapter to knock it down from the 6.5" with the base stereo.

Know if there is any truth to that?

There is not. 6.5s go in with aftermarket baffles or MDF rings. The latter of the two should be used regardless.

Holy crap, you must be on here all day. I guess that's how you get over 12k posts.

Are the MDF rings just for depth mounting purposes? Thanks for the info.

Not exactly, but I have been here for over 5 years.

No, also to avoid resonance.

Gotcha, I'm learning so much already!

I just wish I could afford to start my audio project. After adding everything up I'm already well over $3000 with yours truly doing all of the install. I would love to do it in stages, but this damn BOSE system makes that difficult. It appears as though I have to replace many of the components all at once.

I guess I can still dream.
