I don't have one now but I did in the first car I ever bought, a '63 Chevy Impala. It was a Kicker Comp 18 in a five cubic ft box (took up a huge potion of a huge trunk) and powered (or underpowered) it with a Coustic 500w amp. It got insanely low and rattled every piece of sheetmetal on that car (long before I understood the concept of sound dampening). I would be interested in seeing pics of your setup.

I've toned down a bit, I'm only running a pair of 15s now...

my 15 in my closet owns that 18...nuff said. 18's are not practical for use at all in a car audio environment.

ya but an 18 is an 18 its pretty cool bein able to tell people your sub as big as most peoples rims heres pics of mine but i agree an 18 is not for your typical system, and i dont think they are good for a sq application by no means, but if your a bass head like me its perfect...

i was tempted to get the RL-p 18, but not practical. my 15 provides more than sufficient output.

yes it is ported i dont know the dimensions though i used to have 2 12" L7s in the same box and it wasnt enough for me had the chance to get this sub shipped for $200 and it happened to match up perfectly with my amp so i went ahead a did it took the wood plank out where the 2 l7s were and replaced the board and put the 18 on the top at first i was scared the 18 wouldnt sound good cause the box was too small but it preforms magnificently to my standards ..i could have gotten a 15 but for the same price i couldnt turn the 18 down

I definately need my trunk space, hence my near future downsize from a pair of 12s to a single 12. Dont fear though, the ouput will still be quite substantial.
