Unplugging Speaker

Since one of my rear Bose speakers is currently in need of being replaced and the new one isn't here yet, can I just unplug it? I know the Bose is weird, and I didn't know if that would affect any of the other speakers or throw something off, I don't know...just thought I would check first before I unplug it.
