Question for Don about Dls A6 Rainbow Vanadium combo

This is for Don but anyone with info can chime in. I am just about ready to make part of the purchase we talked about. For now I will be getting 2 12 inch Vanadiums and a DLS A6 amp. I will get the A4 when i'm ready to install the Germaniums I got from you. What would be the best impedence to run the Vanadiums on? I know the A6 does 1200+ at 1 ohm but would it run hot at that low of an impedence? Also, I looked at Rainbows website and it states that the rms of the Vanadiums is 350 watts. Is that rating total power or per voice coil? The pair will go in the box size that you advised me to use (1.2cube per chamber sealed I think). I figured since you frequent the audio section it would be easier for you to answer it here on you leisure time than during business hours.

If Don reccommended particular subs and a particular amp, im certain it will be fine. 1 ohm is going to be harder on your electrical system than say, 2 or 4 ohms, but you'll be fine if tuned properly. what are the subs? dual 4 ohm each? for a total 1 ohm load?

I have a lot of trust in his recommendations (purchased Germs & Sl165's from him). I just wanted to get info to better my understanding of how it should be setup.

The subs are Rainbow Vanadiums and run at 3.6 ohms per coi (2 per speaker).

The A6 will run them fine at 1OHm, although if you'd like to maintain integrity of the amplifier and cut down a power a slight bit you can also go with the A3 - dual mono

Thanks Don. I will call you on Friday to go across both options.

haha all good... they were factory mint too. Not a scratch...which isn't surprising how I had them setup. Nothing to really touch the amps. Next time around...(hopefully not!!! lol)
