I have a bigger dilemma than Gordon...

Say goodbye to my maxima. Not that anyone here knew it, besides slickrick, filtor1, and a few other central fl members, but its totalled. Not sure exactly what started the chain of events of me losing control of the car, at some point the right front tire blew out, hit the guard rail twice, once on the left front side and once on the left rear, went across 3 lanes of traffic onto the grass. Didnt hit any other cars though, and I walked away without a scratch. Dont really remember much of the accident itself. Got a $120 ticket for careless driving. Bout $3k was still owed on the car itself. I pulled everything out of the car, so the only things Im losing that Ill have to rebuy are deadening and the GXE kit/pocket. Heard from insurance that its totalled for sure, but not sure how much ill get back from it.

My mom was looking to get a new car in about 4 months anyway, and I was going to pay the difference between my car and hers to get hers. Some of you probably remember the other thread whoring about different cars. Hers is the same year but every option that my sh!tty GXE didnt have, and 30k less miles. Im still going to try and make that happen, its just going to cost me a whole lot more to do so now.

CLIFFS: My car is totalled. Audio equipment was fine, although there wasnt much in there to begin with at the moment. Going to try and buy out my moms 00 SE 5spd, although it will be costly to me now.

Im at work right now and its dead, so who knows whether Ill be able to keep whoring if this thread gets going, but Ill catch up later.

They already give me some 'discounts' while Im in school by paying some of my bills which allows me to only install for CC part time, so Im trying not to be a b!tch about the situation.

I was going 80ish when everything happened. Not sure at what point the tire blew.

Yeah, my brother said the same thing, that even if I had just broken an arm or something small like that, my life would suck a lot worse right now. The accident happened the night before I had a flight out to go to your 'hood actually mendon...was up in Warwick Friday through Monday for my grandparents 60th anniversary.

Just found out today that insurance is only covering the rental car through Tuesday, since it is only covered for a week after they declare a vehicle totalled. Kind of sucks, thats gonna make things a little tough. Oh well, nothin I can do now.

Did they give you an estimated date when they will tell you how much they will give you for your car?

They told me after deductible I should get just over $6k for it, almost $3k of which is going straight to paying the car off. (It was bought used a little over 3 years ago.) So Im not getting totally screwed because I doubt Id get much more than that if it was paid off and I sold it private party, but nonetheless it makes the next couple months sh|tty til this situation is all worked out.

I'm up there every Christmas at my grandparents house, but usually only Dec 23rd-25th because of work. I go to the Garden City CC to buy Xmas presents on Dec 24th almost every year lol. It was only by way of my grandparents 60th anniversary party that I needed to be up there this summer. Huge family...my mom has 27 first cousins, most of which were at the party last Sat. So being that I was only there for 3 and 1/2 days, I had to do the whole family thing most of the time. If I'm ever up there on a longer vacation I'll let you know.
