Rear deck mounted Infinite Baffle?

Has anyone here mounted a 10" or larger sub in the rear deck of their 5th gen Maxima? I'm interested in doing an Infinite Baffle sub install in my car but I'm worried the rear deck won't be able to handle the strain of supporting 44 pounds of woofer, especially under hard acceleration.

What 44 lb 10" are you looking at? As long as you baffle it securely you'll be fine.

Its actually the 12" Soundsplinter RL-S. The woofer has many favorable characteristics that would make it great for an IB install in car but I'm worried about its weight.

Just make a solid sturdy baffle, it'll most likely hold up JUST fine.

Lots of deadening, expandable foam and MDF will do the trick, you think?

Thanks.

Just as a reference point. This is what I did in my 5.5 with a Kicker 10" c10.
