While I do like it, the cost to performance ratio steers me away. After putting on some options the price jumps into the mid 50s and still needs more ***** for me to drive.

Im trying to stay somewhat below the 50K mark.

Dunno, but itll most likely be a cash down / take over payments situation....
I second the Sequoia. The Pilot, though not much to look at, is really nice. Head and shoulders above the Pathfinder (we drove both quite a bit before deciding on the Pilot).
Had we had the money, we would have gone Sequoia or GX460/Land Cruiser.

But my wife and I have had the exact opposite experience with our Pathfinder after 2+ years and 30,000 miles (loaded 2005 LE). It has been great, the ONLY problem we have had was the windhield washer fluid reservior breaking, that's it. And I'm not sure why some people say the Armada has a better interior, I've been in both numerous times (two different members of my family have an Armada) and they look/feel the same to me.
It will come down to personal preference though. Before we bought the Pathfinder, we test drove just about every SUV you can think of (including LR3, Toureg, Escalade, Tahoe, Suburban, 4 Runner, Expedition, etc.) My wife liked the Pathfinder the best, so that is what we bought.

I still say Pathfinder V8 ftw....it's got the ***** for those sprints to Quick Check. GOOD THING the gas station is on the way...
ok. i vote:
Infinity FX35
Nissan Murano
Acura MDX
Chevy Tahoe of some sort
Trailblazer SS is a nice choice as well, id love to see what you'd do to that
and everyone that says american cars arent reliable are kinda full of poo, they can be just as reliable as jap cars nowadays if maintained properly. If it was the mid 90's, id completely agree with y'all however.
Don i will talk to my brother in law again, see if he's still looking for a G. Last i talked to you, shortly after he lost his job and needless to say wasn't car hunting as much, but he has since found a job and may be looking again.

exactly the same experience here. Picked a 2006 Pilot over a 2006 Pathfinder. Or just get a Trailblazer SS.
