Need Help With Pioneer Avic D3 Navi In Altima
Hey was good guys, long time no talk,
neways i installed a indash navi in my boys 2006 altima and have encountered a problem.
The navi works and functions properly but there is no sound. There is no power going to the speakers at all. No static no nothing.
All the wires are wired accordingly.
BTW it has a BLOSE system in there.
any advice guys?

I was told by 2 other people at an audio shop to bypass the bose amp? to run the power staight to the speaker?
When i looked in the trunk and saw the amp and saw all those wires i was like...ok there has to be an easier way?
any advice guys? thanks i greatly appreciate it in advance

so metra 551 harness would be the easier way to go? i remember i while back you told me to splice the wires and run it to an rca? then wasnt sure what to do after that?
The faqs are confusing.....

One module does everything: level converter, factory amp/speaker connection, and all the power connections. One thing that I didn't see in the instruction is that the rear connector's blue/white lead for remote turn-on has to be connected also to the aftermarket headunit's remote turn-on lead. Otherwise, there'll be no audio at all
quick question DON, that remote turn on is it blue with the white wire?
I remember there were 3 blue wires and i connected both of them together

aahhh i get it now, so u the wires are spliced and wired into an rca, now that rca plugs into the hu?
now if i wanted too which wires would i splice to run to the rcas?
sorry for all the questions, but i just want to understand the whole concept on how the wiring works with the bose.
i appreciate the help though Don, just trying to find out the most logical, efficent and cheapest alternative.

aite cool i got it to work with the regular harness, so i got sound now.
The only thing is that when i insert a cd there is no power to the speakers.
so if insert a cd no sound at all, even when u press the buttons the sound dissappears when a music cd is entered
