The Pioneer DEH-P6800MP HU Question
#3
It sometimes misreads the voltage.
I've got the DEH -780MP (Pioneer Premier) myself, and hardly use the voltage located on the unit because it will read 14V, 13V when the car is started. But with a multi meter I get different readings.
You can always use one of these...if you don't want to always connect a multimeter.

I have the DEH-P780MP, and it reads 14.2V-14.4V when the car is running, and 11.7V when it is not. I assume it is very close, but I ran all new 12 gauge wire for 12V source (12V switched is stock) and ground with soldered connections.
The RPM feature is amazingly within less than 50 RPM of the actual engine speed, how it reads so accurately is beyond me. It also has a data logging feature for the track too, I haven't looked in to how to use it though.
I love Pioneer Premier decks, this is my fifth car with one in it, never had a problem... (knock on wood)
