So will this setup work?
Subwoofers: 2 12" JL Audio W3-D4
(I might be getting 10"--I'm undecided on size right now!
)

Amplifier: JL Audio 250/1
http://www.jlaudio.com/amps/2501.html
================================================== ========
A friend told me that if I get the D4 (dual 4 ohm voice coils) that I can run the voice coils in parallel so that each sub will get 250 watts continuously from this amp. I just want to make sure it will work before I go out and buy this stuff.
Thanks!

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but wouldn't 300 watts be more than enough power for these subs? They handle 250 watts continuously, so giving them 300 should run them sufficiently. I could be wrong here...I don't know much about this stuff.

jl amps
they do underrate these amps a bit....the 500/1 is made for the 12w3s it will give you about 146 db in a sealed box in the trunk with just the ski hole open...i just got the 500/1 and it does do what it says...i picked mine up for 345... sorry guys this deal was one time only from a good friend....just for luck in getting one cheap...ask to buy the display model...they are usually about 25 to 50 percent off
