Maybe I need to object myself to some ball shrinking mind numbing cold to be considered a capable person. :dunno:
You guys can take this as me joking around, but the majority of the people that I associate with irritate the living crap out of me by suggesting their inharent superiority because of their tolerance to cold. They can eat my dingleberries.

I got to 26 here. I still don't see the wonderous joy you northern egrets experience when it gets cold, and then say someone is weak if they don't like it. Good for you. You are much more of a man than I ever could be because you can take more painful cold than me. I have never been able to make sense of it. My relatives that live in Michigan do the same thing.

northerners:hot weather as southerners:cold weather. or vice versa. or something.. you get what I mean.
I cant stand it when its 90 degrees or above. But I'm also not complaining about the heat like its ridiculous when its hot (for my standards) up here in RI during mid summer, because I know its nothing compared to what you southerners deal with most of the year. Know what I mean? I'm by no means claiming I'm "more of man" than you, but I really don't consider it cold until it hits 15 or below, period. It was just a joke..

The tone of the post was a little harsh when I reread it, but I thought it may have come off that way so I ended with, " You guys can take this as me joking around" so you wouldn't think I was being an asshat toward you guys.
only one blanket for me, but even then i find myself kicking it off in the middle of the night. It feels good here today. It's about 75 or so. Waiting at a tint place at the moment.

Well, I am taking the plung. Going to buy a table saw and router today. It looks like Lowe's is the PC dealer around here, so I will stop by there and pick one up as well as a belt sander for the inevitable mis cuts.
I am pretty excited. I have always wanted these items and finally got the go ahead from wifey. I will post pics when I get them home and put together.

OK, I ordered the table saw and belt sander yesterday. Going to pick up the PC Router online today. $279 and free shipping from PC. Lowe's, Sears, nor HD had any there. I am going to research some circle jigs today and pick one of those up too. Here is what I am looking at.

What kind of bit will I need for cutting the rings and/or circles? Isaw literally 100's in the store and didn't even bother looking. Mainly b/c wifey was not having a good time and gets bored easily.
Is there a particular brand I should look for/ or avoid when buying bits?
I found routerbits.com via diy and google. They seem to have just about every bit I could imagine. Now to figure out which to get.

I have the smaller one, but generally use hole sws. Then again I have well over a hundred dollars worth of hole saws as well. The cheaper/easier solution is the smaller jig.

I don't have any experience, obviously, but knowing what I am going to be doing, which router would you suggest I get?

I would like to purchace a table at a later date to try my luck at custom edges and shelving. So would buying the 895 be better due to the table adjustment?

Also, single or double flute for the router bits? I am trying to find a bit named "upspriral straight bit" too but can't find it exactly.

If it is, I found the part # RU2100 under the 1/4" shank and 1" cutting length. Is that the piece I need?
