just f*cked up one of my tire.

i guess i was sagging so bad in the back that the tire was rubbing onto something. it literally looks like a knife was jammed onto the sidewall as i was driving. the inside sidewall is all fubar'ed.

i need to get some new suspension soon.

Sooo...anyone know how the hell i managed to do this to my rear passenger tire?? i think it's rubbing onto something since my rear suspension is going bad.

 

I've had tires worn down to the mesh before and never even had anything like that.

 

could it be a tire defect?

i don't know what it can be rubbing on. but then again i'm not too mechcanically inclined to make a sound diagnosis.

 

If you were rubbing you'd see it on the outer sidewall, not inner. There's nothing to rub on the inside of the wheel well. If your suspension was going bad you'd see symptoms in the tread itself.

My vote is tire defect - or pothole.

 

Because its like all around the sidewall I'm thinking tire defect, maybe an inflation problem or something along those lines.

 

finally got the extra tire mounted and my car is back to normal. a few people think it's a tire defect, and i'm starting to think the same.

just booked my flight to boston!
