I have the worst gas I have had in a long time tonight. I am bored tonight. Watching a movie with wifey but I am not in the mood for a movie.

LOL! She and I made a deal early on in our relationship. I don't perform the dutch oven, and she doesn't kick me in the nuts.

I do it sometimes anyway.

So I just paid for a set of 04' G35c rims. Going to Ga Wed. to get them. My rims got bent 2 years ago driving through some construction. It sucks. The vibration is rediculous at 60-70 mph. I also have had this low grade wobbling humm at low speed braking. I have dealt with it for too long. I found a set with no curb rash and tires for $400. It is going to cost me a little over $100 to get there and back. So I think it is worth it.

I will have pics at the end of the week. The tires that are on the rims still have a ton of tread so I will be staggered for a few weeks until the next FA check gets here. Then I will replace the tires. These are what I finally decided on:

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...55&rd=18&ar=40

I just need something middle of the road that can handle the weight of the car and be good in the rain while not breaking the rest of my wallet.

Yeah, something good is happening to me.

One more thing. Saw the dark night. A friend of mine came by the house for dinner and insisted that we go see it. Then threw $20 on the table when we hesitated and said, "That's for the dinner, now you don't have an excuse." So we went. Damn fine movie. One of the best I have watched in a long time. I can remember when I finally went to see the first Matrix. I walked out feeling like that was the best film I had ever watched. Same feeling here. If you haven't seen it. Do so, you won't regret it.

Congrats on the new rims ...

As soon as nxt week is over with...I'm the SM at a college apartment complex, so the next few wks is the busiest time of the year...its gonna be time for me to do a complete system install. Should be fun, its been a while since everything has been replaced. Don told me I need to get some pics of the X-Lines, I'll get some tomorrow when I get home. They are some of the lightest 8's I've ever held.

Anyone have any opinions on where to mount the SXRC for my amps? Of course, the extra DIN slot where the drawer is now, but I like having the drawer (kinda wanna keep my iPod there).

nice, i was looking into those tires too when i was shopping around for some replacements to the stock eagle rs-a's (which were sh*tty btw, never get the goodyear eagle rs-a's)

i ended up getting the new potenzas.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....+Pole+Position

they're super quiet and very grippy even when it's POURING outside. i'm absolutely satisfied with these tires. plus they were 50 bucks cheaper per tire than the stock eagles.

caught dark knight with the gf last week. awesome movie! it's one of the better movies i've seen this summer.

LOL!

I just put the 880 back in and temp wired the old type-r's for the trip to Ga. I have 2.5 weeks off between summer B and Fall, so the total rewire will be done then. I just want to clean things up and rebuild the box. Maybe get some new subs. Thinking of a pair of Havoc's to fill in for the Q's.

Cool! I thought about this myself but my mids are so freaking deep. The ring would have hit my knee.

I picked up the rims. They need to be refinished. I was thinking a gunmetal. They look great on the car. I will be ordering tires tomorrow. 235/40/18 Nitto 555's.

Actually it is Stearling Mist inside and out. Time to learn how to refinish a wheel.

Eww, better seal it up REAL good, but vent through rear. Those drivers will sound like poop if not implemented properly.

Now where is the mid and tweet going to go?

Here ya go. The fronts have 225/45/18's on them and the rears have 245/45/18's. They will all be replaced with 235/40/18's as soon as they get in.

Oh, and a side note. I am not 100% happy with the offset on these. I wish they would tuck just a little bit more. No worries though. As long as they dont rub when the stereo gets put back in. If they do, i will just sell these and get something else.

And yes, those are the factory head lights. I polish the living crap out of them. The rest of the car is pretty dirty though. I might have to take care of that this weekend if it will stop raining for a few hours.

One last thing, then I am out, Don, I am going to post the full writeup of my deadener job here since it looks like I will be keeping the car for a while. Should I out it in the Deadener Sticky or just start another thread?

I think your right. New thread it is.

Yeah, I see what you mean. Oh, and Love Bugs FTMFL!. I had the entire bra, but rats ate through the bottom half b/c I left it in the barn over winter break. Living in the country has its advantages, rats aren't one of them. The bra doesn't stay on year round. Just when there are mad bugs out, like all of summer.
