I would like to upgrade my components...
Kappa Perfects: very bright on the tweeter side (good thing to me)
MB Quarts PCE12: I have these, I think they are great, make sure u get a sub though. The voice matches up great with it.
Alpine SPR-17S Type Rs: good for the price, They have alot of thump.
but yeah, those are about $200 a pair. I hope your adding an amp.

I have the kappa perfects, yeah tweets are really high....for me too high i like more vocal/mid bass (hip hop music) but i dont wanna spend money to change them out.

SLC's for sure. IMHO, one of the best sounding speakers in your price range. I have installed them before, you are sure to love them. And +1 to the cal25 upgrade in the future. Pretty much comparable to the Contours I had.
