DIN Plug on Bose Head Unit

dose anyone know what the din plug on the rear of the bose head unit does? i found an alpine equalizer id like that says it uses DIN plugs, i was wondering it i could use it there...

It is not compatible. The din plug may be the same but the wiring inside the din cord is different. The din input you are referring to is probably for a Nissan OEM cd changer or something else, but it isn't compatible with any aftermarket unit.
