Well from what I read on the posts, I feel that you are one of the more qualified people to give advice on audio equipment...
what is currently is my car:
Eclipse 55430 Head Unit
Stock Bose system
2 12" JLw3
Hifonics Zesus 600 Amp

My subs are currently not working and the red light on my amp has come on which says diagnostics on the side of it... my friend said that i probally have blown my amp... however, i was wondering if you knew how I can fix this problem... Also since i am on a very tight budget i was just going to buy a crunch amp... muahahaha... yeah i know it's a waste of my money but i seriously just want some base... my friend keeps teling me to gett xtant 1001 but i can't pull it out of my butt like he can... Also considering eclipse, mtx, and RF amps...

For a budget amp, Crunch amps are really not that bad...depending on price what about a JL 500/1 for $499.00?
You should go with an amp to run your 12's that puts out 250 watts minimum of clean power and you should be ok. Tell your friend to buy you the Xtant 1001...lol

With 12W3's you should go with at least 250 watts bridged of clean power...I'm running a 250/1 to a single 10W3 myself and kicks butt...the 250/1 is $299.00 ish...I have to check on an exact price on Saturday when I go back into work. What kind of price range are you looking for? By the way, you should jack your friends 1001...lol

After I jack it and install it in my car i'll drive to his house and tell him that i just got a 1001 and how he likes the sound of it... the setup i have right now is okay but i want the eclipse titanium subs with one 1001 to each one... would that be insane? i think that would be tight...!!! I bid on e-bay for the crunch 1000 watt amp for about 20 dollars... When i get my grants from the government I will then get a very nice setup... have you ever heard of the store Automotive entertainment... they do a nice install job but it is a bit on the steep side for me... do you do all your own installs? what do you think about the new JLw7?

JL W7's are awesome...almost equal to the Eclipse titaniums...I actually sold a system with 2 Eclipse titanium 12's with 2 2000 watt Xtant X2001's in a VW Jetta...the install is taking my guys over 60 days to finish. His car is on www.cardomain.com and his nick name is "outhandleyou" it shows pics of my bay manager Joel doing the install check it out. I've never heard of Automotive Entertainment but there are some really good high end mom and pop shops that do awesome installs. My theory is with a high end install, you will get what you'd paid for. Out here in cali there are install shops that say "free install". I'd never go to a shop that says free install...they will cut corners and sometimes even put in different merchandise than what you requested. I've personally seen this lots of times out of L.A. and down in San Diego where I work. Believe me, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Good luck on your e-bay purchase.

I want to listen to the sounds on that car. He will probally be deaf in a year or two. That is alot of power. How much would you say just a 12"w7 and a 1001 xtant amp would cost? Do you think I can get it at wholesale...? Is the Jetta getting a custom install done becuase 60 days is a long time...
