Gauge differential?

4 gauge power

guy at radioshack says 16 gauge in the sub box will be just fine

never researched gauging issues

any problems there?

For a sub I would use larger, but you probably won't be able to hear a difference. How much power do you have from amp.

I would go with 12 gauge at least. 16 is a little small. I believe you will hear a difference.

Nah 16 gauge will be fine. Heck, I've run
400 watts through 19 gauge with no probs.
Still, 12 gauge would be a good idea cuz it's
heftier and would do better sitting exposed in your trunk

well

there are 2 amps but the one going to the subs is a 1500w, might as well just play everything hq and go with the 12, not like there's a huge cost difference, thanks for the imput guys
