Well, since you only have OUTPUTS you cant connect a DVD player to the HU. Those are for sending the signal from the HU to the amps. All you will do is ruin your equipment. If you want to connect a DVD player or anything else like that so as to listen to it through the stereo, well, you got the wrong HU. You need one that has audio (or AUX) INPUTS

You've got a Pioneer head unit... does it have CD changer controls on it? (does it have a P in the model number? i.e. KEH-P8000 or DEH-P9000. KEH are tape players, DEH are CD players...)
either way... since you said there's an AUX mode on the unit, I'm going go ahead and assume you've got a P-series unit... (this is good)..
Sooooo, how you fix this problem is that you go to Pioneer's website (or any Pioneer dealer) and tell them you need an aux input adaptor. this little jobbie plugs into your CD changer jack on the back of the head unit (you can still use up to 3 cd changers in-line with this thing.)
part #s are CD-RB10 or CD-RB20.
Prices are $60 and $75 each.. one has another jack to plug something else in downstream, and the other doesn't.. that's the only difference I can see.
here's a link.

As for the green wire, that's a speaker output for a small external speaker.. if you wire the RCAs on the TV to the new inputs on the adaptor above, you can basically cap those green wires off and not worry about them.
good luck.. Like to see it when you get done!
