My friend just bought an 01 GXE 5-speed w/no options. It came with an AM/FM Cassette thats looks like its from a 4th gen GXE. He would like to know if it would be possible to install the AM/FM Cass/CD from the C&C Package. This is the non-Bose unit. He would also like to use 4 Polk 6 3/4 2way speakers. I think the radio will work but how about the speakers? Is the premium sound head unit 4 ohms? I know the preimun sound has 6 speakers. Are there 6 speaker outputs on the back of the unit or just four? I would like to know where Nissan put the crossover network for the front tweeters/woofers? Thanks in advance.

P.S. If anyone has removed their AM/FM CD/Tape unit and would like to sell it please let me know.

 

I wouldnt call that an upgrade, more of a latteral move... It will probably cost alot too... but to answer your question there are 4 outputs and spks are crossedover at the tweeter with a cap
