(((Knowledge on stereo equipment)))

I'm getting a serious sound system for my 97 maxima. I need to know if Autotek amps are good and if anyone knows about them? Here is what I'm getting. What do you guys think? Thank you for your help.

2 solobaric 12" 2ohm coil w\ custom box -$580
Autotek SX1700 -1200 watt -$500
2 Custom flush box's for amps -$150
Dynamat trunk -$100
MB quart speakers all around for highs -$340
Autotek SX4100 -$300
Dry cell batt -$160
Cap 2.0 -$150

Total

$2280 Cash

or Credit card $2462 I might upgrade to 2 solobaric 15's
instead of the 12's.

Sounds ..

Sounds not too bad, a little bit on the high side but you're not gonna get much better without buying online.

Skip the capacitor and get a 2nd battery, it'll give you more power.

2 solobaric 12" 2ohm coil w\ custom box -$580 ---good equipement
Autotek SX1700 -1200 watt -$500 ---not a fan of autotek
2 Custom flush box's for amps -$150 --ahh
Dynamat trunk -$100 ---ok
MB quart speakers all around for highs -$340 --good
Autotek SX4100 -$300 --not autotek
Dry cell batt -$160 --which one?
Cap 2.0 -$150 ---which one?

Total sounds pricey but i don't have my price book in front of me. Everything sound good but I say you should get better amps to make everything else preform better

Autotek amps are competition amps used in shows and competitions. You will not find them with main stream amps such as rockford or alpine. They are much more powerful then a main stream amp.

Uhm. The only advantage the second battery gives you is longer play time when the car is off. It doesn't give more power to the amp and in fact is an added load on your electrical system. In a high performance system additional batteries are required but only for reserve capacity.
