That dose not look to hard. I installed one like that in my friends wrx. It was not much harder then putting in a normal radio. You might have to make a new bracket to hold it in.

Shipping costs are crazy, guess that's what international shipping does. Anyway, the install shouldn't be too hard, if your semi-familiar with installing stereo's in cars. Though I always think it risky to buy something non name brand across the world.

The one I put in the wrx was a name brand. hopefully the instructions for that one are in english. You could just pay best buy to put it in for you.

1. This belongs in the audio & electronics forum.
2. if it doesn't even have a brand name and model number listed, I wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft pole- especially if it comes from China.

you won't need any rca's unless you're:

1. using an amp(s)
2. outputting the video to other monitors
3. using some kind of auxiliary player, camera, etc.

There's a dell optiplex sx260 for sale at the g20.net forum by a senior member. $140 + shipping. Cliff notes if the posting are a bit confusing for you:

Dude in UK bought and paid for the PC
Had some trouble with custom (didn't notify him he needed to pay extra)
PC still in with a member in CA.

Any question about CarPC installs, feel free to ask also, as I have a system in my car as well.

Edit: Forgot to include link

Dell... I'll pass, but thanks for the heads up. Every Dell I've ever used or dealt with has been awful. I have quite a few horror stories, both my own and from friends who have worked in the company. Anyway I'd like a Pentium M or Core/Centrino.

Its not a priority at the moment though, I'll probably get to it in the Spring.

He's going to need to run an amp with that HU because it doesn't have an internal amplifier. So you're going to need at least a 2 ch amp to power your 2 front speakers, as well as 2 RCA cables [or one since they usually come in pairs of sorts] to run from the HU to the amp, then speaker cable[I use regular 14 gauge lamp wire] to run from the amp to the speakers.

Well it says it has an internal amp for 50w but there isn't anything to connect speakers too, witch is another -1 for buying that product.

OK, I know I'm going to go OT from your question here, but it appears that it has been answered fairly thoroughly anyways. Plus I don't like to 'post dump' on people, I try to avoid it, but in this case I'm going to, my apologies and please don't take offense, I'm only trying to help

My thoughts upon following link..............

First I thought, wow, it's priced super cheap and is made in china, that thing is crap and a complete waste of money.

Then I said to myself- Hey, it's super cheap and made in china, and it has some pretty bad *** features, maybe I should tell him my thoughts and recommend he get it and report back on any problems, a guiniea pig so to speak.

BUT THEN, I saw this........

By "depending on the complexity of technical problem" I think he meant to say, we have no idea what we are doing in the first place, so if I can't see anything wrong were just gonna ship it back to you. And by "please be patience" He meant to say- "I don't speak english very well, and on top of that I have to deal with people who sent me there radio 4 months ago, so please leave me alone"

SO, IMHO, you should just keep your eye on craigslist and wait for something name brand used or stolen for cheap (lolz, did I really just say that?) As much as I'd like to know if these are worth the low price, I'd hate to see you get hosed out of that money, because we all know "you get what you pay for"
