Where to put center channel

I was wondering where the best place to mount my center channel speakers would be. I was thinking maybe to fabricate a baffle right under where the head unit sits or maybe alter the dash so they will fit above the center vents. If any of you have done this where did you put it and if you had any pictures, I'd love to see 'em.

Thats one place it can be put. Kenwood makes a single din Center channel that does that. Eclipse makes one that clips to the back of the rear view mirror and fires into the windshield. A third idea would be to mount it in the Center A/C vent.

Thanks for the responses. Another quick question, I ordered the alpine pxa h510 Digital processor and it has the microphone digital time correction feature. Now do I put this microphone in the center of the windshield or do I put it near where I am sitting in the car?

The Kenwood center channel speaker is not bad...I've sold a few of them without any complaints.

I think he's referring to the fact that the center image will be low in the dash with this unit and not up high on the dash or out onto the hood as is desired in competition SQ vehicles....
