You have to hook up the rear signal, the sub takes a summed signal from the front and rear, but the rears won't get anything with the sub hooked up because you used the sub pre-out which is not a full range signal.

In addition to that....Im guessing that since you say the volume is low, you aren't going to be too happy with it no matter what you do. As I posted in the stickies, you need a radio with strong preouts to be able to run the 7551 harness, and since your radio has only two pairs of preouts, its a lower end pioneer with I'm guessing 2.2 volt preouts as most of the lower end pioneers do. The dehp4900ib or higher will have 4v 100 ohm preouts which will do you much better, or better yet, a 5v eclipse. Or you can replace the speakers and bypass everything factory.

Thanks alot guys for the help I have done alot of installs but this was the first Ive done with factory amp. If the volume is going to be that low Im not even going to bother untill I get a better head unit. I really want a double din screen but the funds are not available right now do most of the higher end double din dvd cd players have high volt pre outs?

Most do not, the Eclipse has 5, the rest have 2 for the most part.

I also have this line level converter http://www.buy.com/prod/scosche-fai3.../90124887.html I know I could use this and then adjust the gain to increase the volume output correct. I was wondering if I use this how could I hook it up without splicing into cars factory harness. Would the non bose wiring harness work or are the factory connectors the same for the non bose?
