master dave ,explain this to me

today my bel 936 came in,and i drive around testing it,and the beep alert doesnt go off unless its a high number on the band, like i get a k1 or k2 it doesnt beep but if i get a k9 or k7 it will go off,is that normal, and when it says k9 does the number represent how many cops are using radar at the moment

It may be on city mode. When it says K1-K9 means how close the cop is, K1 being the farthest and K9 being the closest. Usually K9 means he has clocked you. Hope this helps.
