running amp wire.

I have searched but found nothing on running an amp wire on a 4th gen with a MT. I have read in a few posts that I will need to drill into the engine compartment but I am not sure where. Any help?

i know there is write-ups on how to get it through the wheel well....but you have to remove the plastic liner and the tire and stuff....you can cut a whole behind the carpet on the passenger side to help avoid your clutch etc. but then youll need more wire. you're not going to hit much on the drivers side...so anywhere you can get a drill....im sure youll be able to make it work.

No need to cut holes. Just remove the gourmet blocking the whole where the red wire is.

Once you get the wire into the cabin, where can you run it to reach an amp in the trunk? I'm replacing my whole factory system and running all new wires, I just can't find a way to get under the carpet to run them to the rear of the car.

*EDIT* Nevermind. I thought I read somewhere that the door sills were glued on. They pop off.

Depending on how thick your wire is, I had to drill out a new hole in my 5th gen MT maxima to fit 1/0gauge in. After that I just popped off the door sills, ran it under the carpet, underneath the seat.. and done, in the trunk.

i just pulled off the lil kick panels that conceal some fuses and wires if i recall correctly then just pull of the piece holding the carpet down where the door shuts, then u got to pull the lil pilar thing where ur seat belt goes then remove the back seat, then pull off the rear door floor panel thing. then u should be able to get the wire ran from the driver side to the driver side trunk fairly easy.

i have a run of 4awg, 3 passes of rcas and 2 passes of speaker wire ran on one side. it was a lil tight but works.
