have a kill switch in your car?
in my dads car the heated seat switches are the kill switch you press both buttons down and it cuts the power to the fuel pump. i think thats pretty cool i wanted to do something similiar to my car except that my car doesnt have heated seats so where would be a good place to install a switch thats not obvious but still accessable?
if you never use the cigarette lighter adapter, ive done a few for customers where the car wont ever start unless you push the cig lighter in. You dont need to cut the fuel pump off, you can just break open a starter wire, or ignition, etc...
Anything that has a switch on will work fine.. you just need a relay.

Pushing the lighter in doesnt make sense. The works by pushing the coil in, but the socket is always energized otherwise. Pushing it in doesnt actually activate anything..
You lost me bud, you REALLY need to explain this one too me.

I wired a push button start for my boss using the high beam switch as the kill switch, in his lifted '87 toyota truck...in addition to two switches for ignition and accessory so he can be completely keyless. No steering wheel lock (and an old beat-up, non daily driver truck) ftw lol.
?cut both the neg and pos wire (obviously the lighter wont work anymore), ground the black wire, hook the other one to the neg trip of a relay, so that when you push in the cylinder it completes the circuit and energizes the relay, and re-connects your starter wire.
