Ipod Touch and an Alpine HU

I just got an Ipod Touch for Christmas and I was wondering if I could connect it to my Ipod compatible HU (Alpine cda-9827)

I just want to make sure 100% because I don't want to waste my time/money if it won't work.

Well I figured that but I just wanted to make sure due to the it being a touch screen interface, versus the button interface. I thought it could be different.

wrong. not all ipod's work with every Alpine unit. Some of the older ones (first gens) you can't update anymore aren't compatible... Not nessicarily in this situation, but on the full speed deck's im talking about.

OP, I'm thinking you'll be alright...

Call Alpine's tech support. I can tell you that my iphone's ipod feature does NOT work with my Alpine head unit. Since the touch uses the same hardware, I would think you will have the same problem, but I could be wrong. You may have to wait for the IVA-W505.
