Fuse VS Circuit Breaker...

Keeping this simple, I have three amps (or more) that I tend to install. I have a distribution block with no fuses in it. I dont want to wreck my amps. Can I put 100 to 200amp circuit breakers on each power wire coming from the block to the amp? or should I just find a fused block? I have a 300amp fuse under the hood on a 0 gauge wire to the block. Then 4 gauge wires to the amps (would like to make them 2 guage).

The plan is two ZX750 kicker amps, and 1 ZX650 4 channel amp.

Back to the question: Can I put 100 to 200amp circuit breakers on each power wire coming from the block to the amp? or should I just find a fused block?

I would go with the fused distro block. I think u should be good with ur current set-up. The internal fuses on the amps will protect them.

Without researching the internal fuse ratings of each amp, you'll want a fuse or CB that's at least the fuse rating of the particular amp. With that said, a fuse will be cheaper than a CB, but the CB will be reusable... But I've only ever blown 1-2 fuses in my life... A fused distro block would be ideal, IMHO.

the less number of fuses the better...so 1 fuse and a distro block would be ideal. a fuse acts as a choke point for current...so if you can minimize the number of fuses, you will have over-all better current flow.
