Nah its all good.. it just sucks that I only had mine such a short period and that if this new model plays I pod movies and videos then it will be all I ever wanted in a head unit and will upgrade. Got me? I also like that it appears the leds can change any color you want to match any interior lighting you may have.

cool. Its not necessary but if you can play music AND videos from a usb memory stick or a phone connected through usb, that would be awesome. They even have tv on phones (example: slingbox). Wouldnt it be hot if you can stream it from phone and project it on the 7" screen. I honestly just need to play music through my phone from usb port with a preference of navigating on the screen instead of phone, similar to how the ipod does now. Anything extra is a bonus and just proves how advanced technology has gotten these last few years.

I was speaking to Don and he informed me that Ipod vidoes and movies can play through direct connect wire. Im assuming that he means a USB port which is freaking SICK and I be selling my 6620 once a get my hands on this new model. I'll let Don fill you guys in more.

You can do video connected as well as audio/video wireless with your phone or other BT enabled devices.

OK, are you telling me that NOT ONLY do our phones communicate through USB to display videos, BUT we can do this wirelessly through BLUETOOTH?! I know the phone can communicate for phone calls but never thought this head unit could handle music as well. That is SICK but I need extra verification.

All this time I've been researching Parrot devices and what not, looking for an option to do this (play music wirelessly in the car through bluetooth). But reviews told me the quality of sound is not so great wirelessly. I would love to have the convenience, although not necessary because usb is all I need, that would be very impressive.

Yes, that is what I am saying. But wait til January to get your additional confirmation.

Just also an FYI ... My current BT in my truck can stream wireless audio as well. This isnt all that new ..

Problem with AVN 6620 and 03 Maxima.
Does anyone have a problem with the Nav moving on it's own? The speed sensor is saying I'm moving even though I'm in park. Will resetting the ECU fix the problem? I've tried to reset the ECU following directions from the forums, but I guess my timing is way off. Is turning key on then pressing accelerator, etc... the only way to reset the ecu? Need help thanks.

Make sure you are not stuck in a route preview.. And are you connected to the right speed sensor wire? I have a 97 so can't help on the correct color wire you need. Try giving Eclipse a call they are really good at phone tech support.

Yeah, i'm sure it's not the route preview. On the System Check section, the Speed Pulse shows up that I'm going from 6-9 mph, even when I just start the car. Then at times it goes up to 35 mph. It's weird.

As for the speed sensor wire. I connected the purple/white wire from the HU harness to the purple/white wire from the ECU. I will try the customer support, just wondering if they would know my particular car's speed sensor wire color. If anyone else has done this please let me know if I'm connected to the correct wire from the ECU or if it's still just resetting the ECU? Thanks for the help.

You only match colors on the HU and harness. NOT with the actual car. SS wire is Pink/Blue.

Bluetooth question

I've had the 6620 installed for awhile now. I also have an Insignia Pilot MP3 player w/ bluetooth. Would it make sense for me to buy the BT adapter & stream to the unit? Everything else audio related is stock in the maxima.

Doing a read-through the thread, it appears I need an external speaker for the BT, which would make streaming music a huge step backwards.

The new AVN looks sweet....its going to be hard to resist an upgrade.

Thanks
Jeff

I guess that's a no. I'm probably the only 20-something to never own an Apple product, but it looks like I might have to make the plunge to have more than 700mb of music available in the Maxima without swapping discs all the time. If anyone has a cheap ipod (8gb+) lying around, let me know.

Too bad a DVD-based mp3 disc doesn't work either.
