Bettery voltage?

I finally got around to installing a power capacitor on my car and it now presents a question to me...

What should the voltage read out be while the car is running and in gear at a stop with the A/C on and headlights on be? Mine is only 12.8-12.9, step on the gas a little (while still holding the brake as to not move forward) and it goes up to ~13.9, start driving and it's 14.0-14.2. Now with that said if I am stopped with the A/C off and headlights on it reads 13.9-14.1.

Does the A/C compressor really draw that much power or does my car need an alternator?

mine's usually around 14.6-9 with the system bumpin, and it remains consistent when i accelerate most of the time, unless it goes down to 13ish if i have the music playing when the engine is not running. it goes back up after driving around a little.
i did a ground kit, so that probably helped.
i say as long as your car is fine and running well, don't worry about it.

i have a vafc2 that has the battery meter, so it's a nice little gadget to know where your juice is at.

Take it out, asap.

Why would I take the cap out?

I put it in because I have a KAC-9104D for my subs wired to 1-Ohm.

This amp puts out:
500watts RMS @ 4-Ohm
900watts RMS @ 2-Ohm
≥900watts RMS @ 1-Ohm

It is a bandaid, and puts more strain on your electrical system.

lol im going to put this on my sig..

But yes the cap is a waste of money unless you plan on burpping in SPL comps in which they can be pretty useful but far as daily driving there a no-no(without the required upgrades)

Just get yourself a yellow top, obrit, or powermaster battery
