WOOFER BOX OR TUBE ???
Sup Guys ... I have an MTX thunder 4500 12" sub. I`m lookin to install in my max. However... I dunno if I should put it in a tube or a box. Anyone know which is better and why ??

Box definitely. I used to have a Bazooka tube about 7 years ago (I've come a long way I know). As for why it's better, I think it has to do with the fact that a box is wooden and therefore better with acoustics. Also, I don't see how a round driver can be in a tube.

you can put it in tube if you want and somehow make it into a transmission line enclosure type thing. or just cap it off the other end and it'll be a sealed enclosure.
that said i haven't seen anyone using a tube for an enclosure in person. i've seen pictures of people using long PVC pipes to make an transmission line setup. pretty interesting.
