Before I get ripped off.....how god are the MTX 4000's? Also, ever hear of Series 1 subs? How are Kenwood amps? I have an Eclipse 7002 with full Eclipse components and 8-disc changer. I just need a little boom boom to go with it. Help me out here.

The MTX subs are decent beginner subs, nothing special really. Never heard of the Series 1 subs. Kenwood amps are decent overall though one can do better and get a little more power if you choose something different.

What size subs were you looking for?

I am going to get two 10's due to the music I listen to. The amp I saw was a Kenwood 600W 2 channel for 189 brand new. Any advice?

Well my suggestion for that setup would be to try and find an amplifier that will put out at least 150-200W to each sub, more is probably better though. If you are on a tight budget consider either ones that are either 8 Ohm SVC or 4Ohm DVC subs as you can wire a pair of them to a 4 Ohm nominal load that's easy for any bridgeable stereo amplifier like that Kenwood to drive in Bridged mono mode. This will maximize the power output of your amplifier rather than wiring it in a normal stereo setup.
