a few audio related questions

Can someone tell me what the opening size is in the GXE trim kit? top to bottom of the opening and side to side? just wondering if my avic d3 will be a really good fit, 0r an ok fit.

Also, where are you guys placing the gps units that come with navi HU's? I have the avic d3 and would prefer to keep the unit inside the car. Previously I used microsoft streets and trips with a laptop and the gps unit worked well near the front vents, but not sure how good the pioneer unit is.

And lastly, just wondering about the wire for the parking brake to prevent you from operting the nav while driving. Just wondering if there is a cheat for this, so I don't have to take the centre console out of the car. Some way of bypassing

I believe i have seen that combo and its honestly the best option. I dont know dimensions although I have it and it matches interior best.

I keep my gps piece near the window pillar and run the wire behind the dash. Looks somewhat stealth and gives great service.

From what i hear, pioneer wont allow the option to work around that parking brake. Other units can. Hopefully someone can give better details in regards to that. Good luck.

i have the 4000 hu and i'm wiring it all together today. Hopefully my method of a toggle switch will be able to work. That's what was recommended to me.
