problem with the HU in a 95 max

well its the bose system, but im not so sure how much that has to play with what the deal is. the problem is that the HU gets power as you can turn the system on and off however it outputs no sound. no matter if its on radio / cd / whatever.

i checked all the fuses (unless there is a hidden one) and they are all good to go. the only thing i can think of is that something came un wired somewhere and i wouldnt know where too look let alone if that is really even the issue.

so basically, the HU gets power but no sound. any ideas why that would be?

no idea what the problem is, but considering it's a Bose and it's acting up, I would replace it with aftermarket. Don't forget to take it an electronics recycling center when you're done with it!

well i disconnected the battery for a few minutes and redid it and the power is back on to the HU but still no sound. and i cant seem to be able to locate any fuses on the amp for the rear speakers either.

Either your volume is all the way down, your connections are messed up, or there's a blown fuse...but I'm sure you've looked into these things already.

err my bad, i think i have the problem fixed but it keeps blowing the 15 amp fuse in there for the 'bose' in the fuse box. i have a 20 in there now but should i be concerned about that?

if your blowing the fuse check the connections one might be shorting out somewhere. typically its not good to use a bigger fuse to stop on from blowing.
