Liquidators will be taking over stores to finish em off by Dec 31. No more car installs to be done from here on out at any stores that are closing.

I still have a job...for now.

P.S. For anyone who hasn't heard yet, say buh-bye to Tweeter soon.

Be careful Gordon. Ive heard a rumor that when our liquidation company comes in, they will put prices at msrp and discount from there. Not saying good deals can't be found, just giving you a heads up.

This just means that I can use the "One Price" promotion more often now on my 46" LCD.

Carmax needs to tread lightly as well since their parent company is Circuit City.

I thought we severed ties with Carmax back in '02?

Do you know something I don't?

If it happened I had no idea.

I sold cars for them back in '99, but then I left for the brokerage industry and am still in it. I haven't heard anything so I assumed they were still affiliated.

Good luck to you then, Kevin. I know the one right near me is closing as well (as well as Tweeter). Are you job hunting just in case?

Circuit and Twatter need to now take Ultimate the rest of the way down the drain. Purging of dead weight: A great effect of capitalism in tougher times.

I got laid off, too - worked for a company in Elkhart, Indiana that transported RVs. Seeing as how Elkhart is powered by the RV industry which has utterly failed, CNN has named Elkhart, Indiana the hardest hit place by the recession, and worst possible place to find a job.

Im moving to Atlanta. No, seriously, my house has been sold and Im packing right now. Maybe I'll stop at CC on the way down and get a deal on that flat screen tv I've always wanted.

theyve done the same thing here but heres the catch i learned from a guy who use to handel the insurance stuff idk how he got it but ya basically all the marked down stuff isnt really marked down as much as you think hell i could go to cc and pick up a brand new tv but really i could go and get the same thing even cheaper at walmart. heres the catch to why i say that there bumping up the price of that product to what they actual retail price is from the manufacturer and then nocking it down some stuff they do this but not all.

lol

Right before the closest Tweeter to us closed, we went and bought about $15k worth of stuff for $1700, All their install equipment, made out like a bandit. Few plunge routers, big air compressor, nice big table saw, air venting system, over a grand or 2 worth of terminals/screws, and more. So thanks, Tweeter.

and we stole all their customers

Yep. Actually I know exactly the one now. I can't picture it, but I drive by it every year during my Dec 24th Christmas shopping.

My grandparents live right near the intersection of Main Ave and West Shore Rd.

Holy ****, 17 and 1/2 pounds...shipping is gonna be a bit much. Still prob worth the investment cuz its a good price.

How would I go about buying it? Any chance you could make a receipt so I could write it off tax-wise?
