difference in speakers
difference in speakers
Ok.. Im starting to work on the audio part of my maxima and need some serious help. I have a bandpass box with 2 audiobahn 10's, and an audiobahn amp. I need to know the differece between mids, highs, and lows. I know the basic difference, but Im really confused about what kind of sound that a mid puts out. Who makes the best mids... for how much... and where in the car do they go? Can they go with a custom box in the trunk? Sorry for all the questions... Im just learning the audio.
Just from reading your questin I can tell you don't know the basic differences so i'll start there.
A sub(100hz-20hz) is the low end it gives you the rumbling punching sound. A midbass(100hz-300hz) will give you the kettle drum kind of sound and other low instraments as well as drums. A mid range (300hz-3,00hz) makes up most of the music, horns, trumpets, voics, etc. A tweeter(3,000hz-20k hz) will make up mostly the sizzle of things like symbols. The hz range I gave you are basic they vary from setup to setup. To have complete sound you need to have all ranges covered.
There is no best just best for a person...but some of the better names are mbquart, focal, diamond. Prefeably they go in the front of the car...autofiles like my self like them in the kick with nothing in the rear. However if your not that extreame alot of people will put the mid in the door a tweeter in the a piller and a 4" for rear fill in the rear deck or door. Hope this gets you going feel free to email me for a more direct answer. Or post here.
