need suggestionsss ^.^

okay...
i have 97 max se, with bose system.
recently i switched it to sony xplod cdx-m610(head unit only). and it sounds really bad. when you turn tha volumn to 3 it's as loud as full volumn on bose. so i was thinking about getting the whole system done if i have to. i wanna try to make it sound like how it was before. so any suggestions??? just leave me any opinion. thanks alot guys

Re: need suggestionsss ^.^

not to sound like a stuck up or anything...but why do guyz with bose system when they switch out the headunit have so many prob??? i myself have bose and did not have a prob adding an amp to the bose...and now i just change out my headunit and still don't have any prob with the sound...and i'm using my bose speaker and i still don't have a prob...all these prob that i've seen on here lately is related to sony headunit...now i really don't know if it's the new headunit is the prob or the prob just lies in the install...now the only conclusion that i can draw from ur problem is....if u replace the headunit...bypass the factory amp....and still using ur bose speaker then everything should be louder then before....why??? well that is due to the fact that the bose speaker is very low in impedence...which means less resistance...which means more current flow...which means more power...which means much louder then regular 4 ohm speakers...i don't really know for sure if the low speaker impedence will in the long run kill the headunit or not but i have been using my bose speaker with my rf amp for almost a year and the amp has no prob...no i'm having my new headunit push the bose speaker and i still don't have a prob...alot of peep think that the bose speaker sucks and it will blow easily...I THINK NOT...it does not blow easily and it is not the worse speaker out there...i am living proof of this statement...thank you...and i sure hope i answered ur question...

I dont know about the newer cars Bose systems but in any Car I have ever installed a system in ( more than a lot) Bose speaker replacements ALWAYS give you a gain in sound quality. Tru bose speakers may have a lower impedence rating but there are not
A.efficient
B.accurate
C.full of detail
C. all of the above
If you picked D then you are absolutly correct
Bose speakers are not great speakers, go into any retail store which sell a good variety and see for yourself (the car and home stuff are not tooo much different) Bose speakes are popular because at one time they were kings of the hill ( 70's ) but they stopped climbing long ago and live off of rep instead of quaility. If you don't believe me next time ther is a maxima meet in your area go and see

A head unit change is usally the best thing to change first. However if you buy crap you get crap. And that sony exploid for ya.

Get a real head unit and see how nice it becomes.

A REAL Answer

Get an 1 ohm adapter. im getting the PD4 from www.linkmeup.com
The problem is that the signal going to the bose amps is already amplified by your sony headunit. this over amplification is what is causing the distortion.
