Need help with parking garage problem

Hi guys,

Since last Thursday. I have talking with the manager at the Auditorium Park One parking garage. On Wed., one of their parking attendants blew the tweeters on my set of Rainbow Germaniums. When I took the car in that morning my radio was truned off but when the attendant brought it back that evening the radio was turned up. I told the cashier about it and was told to talk to the manager the next day. The manager claimed that he would look at videotapes to see who did it. After a few days, he claimed that my car was in a spot that the cameras could not view and that no workers had been on that particular floor long enough to mess with my car.
In the beginning the person who parked my car in the morning told the manager that my radio was off when he got in my car. The evening attendant also told him that my radio was on when he brought it to me. Now, all of a sudden they dont remember anything. There was a person with me when I got my car that can verify that the radio was turned up very loud when they brought the car back to me. I need advice other than what my friends want me to do(will get us all locked up). I hope that someone else been through something similar and got good results. Any advice will be welcomed.

yer skrood. it's you vs. the manager. If the manager won't pay, then not much you can do other than take them to small claims court.... which the cost and hassle of doing that makes it easier and cheaper to just pay for a new set of tweets.
And next time, remove the faceplate or a fuse or something so the idiots can't break it.

............. If you don't want it broken or stolen or messed with, then don't let anyone in the car....

I kind of figured that. The problem is that i am a monthly parker and the garage is not self-parking. So because of that someone has to move my car. The radio is an eclipse 8445 so no removable face. Only choice is to run a switch to turn the power off on the radio. Good thing I had them faded to the front because they probably would have blown my Dls coaxes. I talked to Don and because of this I am upgrading to Dynaudio 242's.

I have a buddy that has a big solenoid under the hood and it trips the main power to the amps. Anytime he drops his car off for service he just pops the hood before he gets there and throws the switch.

I have taken the fuses out, both amps have independent fuses on them, and have also added a toggle switch to the remote wire and hide it. Either way I never leave my amps on when I drop the car off.

Sorry to hear about this happening.

Thanks. Looks like i will chalk this up as a learning experience. It just hurts to think that someone is going to get away with something like this.

There's ways to do this but time is $$$$ get some new **** from Don and learn a tough lesson...I always take out a fuse, a faceplate, a cd, or put all my audio settings on -9 or w/e the lowest setting is so if they play it they wont wanna hear it.

The manager did ask for the receipt and was looking into correct? This alone was a partial admission that they could be at fault. Full denial, why bother asking? Not that this amounts to much, but question it.

The manager told me that its most likely their fault but they cant do anything about it. It took a lot of concentration not to do anything to him after hearing that. I am just going to let this one go because the more I think about it the angrier I get. I will just call you to buy what we talked about the other day. What is the easiest way to run a toggle switch to keep the radio from coming on(from the fuse or somewhere else)?
