Universal Learning Key Fob

I just bought a universal remote control, labled in package as Sting Pro TX-44. From a little research, Audiobahn makes the exact same product under a different name. You are to aim your factory remote to the back of this one, and press button one on each unit. Continue process for each button until it is all learned. 3 flashes of the LED indicates it has learned the code. Says this remote will duplicate frequencies 255-445. I do not know what the oem remotes frequency is. Problem is, when I hold my oem maxima remote up to this one, it will not flash the 3 times meaning it learned the code. It will learn the code from my remote start however, a different fob.

This reason behind all of this is because the shop that installed my remote start was not able to get my door locks to work with the same fob. This remote says you can program up to four different remotes to it, this is what I want to do to consolidate my remotes.

Does anyone know of a better universal remote? I have done a lot of electronic stuff like this and just am baffled by this.

Mainly, I need to know what the frequency of the oem Maxima remote is. Any help, thank you.

Do our cars use Genie intellicode encrpytion?

Its because of our oem alarms as far as I can tell. If anyone has any additional info please let me know.

The bottom line is that whichever shop installed your remote start gave you a load of cr@p and caused you to buy something you didn't need. Nissan door lock wiring could not possibly be any easier. Other than possibly needing to run the lock and unlock wires into the drivers door, there is absolutely no reason even a n00b installer shouldn't be able to get Nissan door locks working, so unless they were just plain lazy, there is no excuse. Time to find a new shop/installer and have it done right.

2 installers one a professional autopage guy, one shop gave it a try twice, the autopage guy fried my door lock brain

They could get the door locks to either lock or unlock in one of two different wiring configurations, but never both at the same time. Double pulse was set on the box.

They ended up using a BullDogSecurities RS82 which doesnt have door locks since they couldn't make them work. I have pulled up wiring diagrams and compared to the ones they used and it matches up, wired correctly. My car is pocessed.
