I see that alot of people moved their climate screen down to the bottom pocket. What size monitor and model are people using in place of the climate screen on the top? Also I noticed that there is a black border around the climate screen, can that be peeled off? or does it remove once you move the screen down to the bottom?

 

The black border is plastic and is part of the trim, connected to the vent trim. Can't be removed.

For model, I'd check in the 6th gen section to see what everyone else is using.

 

not the trim, when u look at the factory climate screen, on the glass there is a black border, i was just thinking if it was some how removed, could you put a bigger screen then 7 inches up there.

 

I wouldn't bother wasting time with that.

 

Hey man, to each his own - I added stock navigation to my car although everyone told me it would be a b!tch to do, and pointless, but took it as a challenge and did it anyway. Turns out it was actually quite helpful because I moved to Atlanta and ALL the roads are on my maps even though the newest disc we can run is from 2005.

More power to ya if you can acomplish something not too many people have done. Plus, it's just one more thing that makes it <i>your</i> car.

 

i know i saw someone with a 7 inch screen in the radio control screen space on here and now i cant find it...
If your out there please pm me. I would like to know which screen you bought that does not have any buttons on it...
