Just wondering if this will work:

RCA connection from PC to 70-7551 harness (RCA in). The harness is plugged in to the factory wiring, but no headunit. Am I missing something?

as long as its output from pc to the harness, it will work fine

For anyones reference in the future, I needed to trigger the amp-on / remote wire. I ran a wire from a 12v rail (spliced into the molex on the computers PSU) to the remote wire, works like a champ.
