during Winter break...Time for more work!

After my horrible first quarter at UC Davis, I'll be free from school for a good 3 weeks (I think).

During this time, I will hopefully get another (4th) roll from Rick, and start working on more deadening!

I've realized the car is already weighing a ton, but I think it's worth it for the nice resonance and sound deadening

I still haven't gotten the A pillars off...anyone know a good, easy way to do it? Also, I'm going to try Anton's method of taking off the headliner and matting it.

Anyway, I'm glad to read that a lot of people are interested in Dynamat material, or RAAMmat (ahem ahem). Right now I'm on my friend's computer...let me switch to my computer to post some pics of the past summer project. These pics are for people who need an idea of how to apply RAMMmat.

BTW, has anyone figured out a good, lightweight way to block off road/engine noise? Would a high-quality foam work? thanks

Concertcar.com Look at the stuff scott put down it's light and you just spread it all over and when it's dry it's real quiet.

Looks good Turd. I see you covered the fuel pump. I cut around mine in favor of being able to get to it quickly for replacement should it ever fail. Reference the concertcar link above, I see I am not the only one useing some unconventional materials. Send me an email if you want to know where to get the "superball" material. But I think my link has a very slightly better price(less than 10% less).

jmax...which is the fuel pump!? haha i can't believe I covered it, I had no idea.

This was my first and only sound deadening and stereo install I've done. It was Whitemax and SWEETSOUND who helped me out through everything (and a little of ECA).

Just to give you guys an idea on how quiet my car really is.
I recently drove the 2002 6-speed max and the 5-speed Altima and my car is definately quieter than either one of them.

Looks good. Did you use a roller at all for your installs? Hairdryer to make it stick better. I'm ordered a roll from Rick today to do my trunk. How does it hold up on curved surfaces? Thanks.

Dead center under the rear seat. There is a small cover sealed with gasketing and held on with a few scwews. If you ever need to get to it I am sure you can just cut around the edge, and feel for the heads of the screws with a finger.

jmax, luckily, it's only covered with Heat Shield Insulation. It's only stuck on with 3M spray adhesive
