Looking for Advice on new head unit

I have an 04 Maxima with all stock radio. My cd changer is broken and after taking it out and putting it back in, my whole radio is no longer working.

Therefore I have made the decision that it is time to purchase a new head unit. I am aware of some of my options but I am not sure what I want. I want to get a touchscreen with Navi. I don't care if the new unit only takes one cd, I am fine with that.

I want to be able to do this all myself and not being a tech guy, I want to see what the easiest solution for me is. Whatever I put in, I want to keep the steering wheel control functions to work.

Can anyone give me any advice as to what would work best for me? Not only am I looking for what I should do, but also advice as to where I should look, like what websites or stores might be helfpul.

Thanks in advance!

Start with Crutchfield. They have legitimate products with warranty at mediocre prices. They include the necessary adapters and have pretty good customer service.

You may need a separate module, but retaining functionality of your steering wheel controls is not a huge deal.
