Yikes!!!!

like I said I put in $180 and its perfect. and actually my mom got me the sub for Christmas, so technically I only spent $120. I drive about 21k a year and use the thing all the time and its perfect and totally worth the money and time I put into it.

I've got two Kenwood 12" running 2000W peak, 900 RMS at 2 ohms. i got a Boss Audio 3.5 farad cap on it, works amazing. i used to get headlight dim, none now and system is noticeably louder.

You would be better off with a small battery in the back. And I was referring to loudness with the seats folded down in mine.

^seats folded down,..?
Rockfosgate P1's 900RMS each and a Street Machine 4kW amp with an MTX plexiglass bandpass box
subs=200 for both, amp 1200$ MTX 200$
as soon as i got the amp i regretted selling my alpines for my 00vi. this thing has a stupid amount of power that these subs cant dream of keeping up with. works pretty decently with my HD alpine radio. i just got the subs for a quick low bass thing. im saving for alpine X's again though so i can get my duel voices coils back

got pissed at my *****!!! wtf... my stereo sounds horrible! i have a 16-mcd1500 memphis amp brand new... all the reviews say it hits ****in hard or what not... it's retailed at 999.99 and i have it installed to two memphis 10" M1 subs. when it starts to get semi loud the ***** turns off and sounds like it just doesnt have enough juice.. it's hooked up to a capacitor 2.0F. why does it do that? what do i need to change??

the jackhammer is easily one of the most overhyped, inefficient woofers of all time. I hope you didn't learn what you know about car audio off of pimp my ride... smh

did you seal them to the cabin or just aimed the box Forward?one of the lowdest local setups is a cadi with 2 15 inch hccas forward firing, box foamed in and sealed forward with the port firing up through the rear deck. sickness...

you just have to do a little more work.

This is my project box, first build for me and iam pleased. Only a light coat of paint here but it will be toped with undercoating paint. Sorta like a spray bedliner look but not quite as durable. top isnt glued here and theres a little more to do, int. volume is around 2.2 and it's tuned around 35hz

Why do you have that extra wood above the port? I think it is going to make a lot of air noise when the sub is pounding.

I wasnt sure exactly how to fix the port opening, like i mentioned this is my very first attempt at box building. I did this in about a days time so I was happy with it... So you think that small piece at the top will kill my sound huh?

i think it will matter that much in the car, just in the trunk.

You should go on google and go to the re audio box calculator web site. You type in how big you want your box and it will tell you what size pieces of wood to cut out, the cubic feet of the box and what hz it will be.

Yeah, i studied the calculator and im right at 2.22cubic feet and 35hz. My sub is for a 2.25cubic ft vented box. I also used 3/4in mdf and corner braces
